How does payment with paysafecard work?
up to 50€ - without myPaysafe account (only in Germany):
- During the payment process, select paysafecard directly as the payment method and enter the 16-digit code.
- However, some webshops require registration for every transaction, regardless of the amount. We have no influence on this.
over 50€ - with myPaysafe account:
- Register the code you have received via your myPaysafe account.
- You can complete the registration directly during the payment process.
- Once you have done this, you can select paysafecard as your payment method when paying in the online store.
- You will now be forwarded directly to myPaysafe and can pay.
Other countries, other rules of the game ...
You can only use the paysafecard in the country where your prepaid card was purchased. A paysafecard for Germany can only be redeemed on German websites and accounts. The same applies to Austrian or Swiss products.
How long is your credit valid and what fees does paysafecard charge?
In principle, your prepaid code does not expire. If you do not redeem your paysafecard credit in full within 30 days, €3 per month will be deducted from your credit. To avoid being charged this monthly service fee, you can transfer the code to your myPaySafe account or simply spend the full amount before the fee is due. The other fees vary depending on the country. You can find more information on the official paysafecard website.
Why am I being asked to create a myPaysafe account?
Some webshops require registration for every transaction, regardless of the amount. It takes less than two minutes to create a myPaysafe account.
How can I check how much credit is still available on my paysafecard?
You can check your credit balance directly in your WKV account. You can find details of the purchases you have already made with your prepaid card on the paysafecard website. We do not have access to the usage data of your card.
What is the difference between the serial number and the PIN code?
The serial number is used by support to uniquely identify your paysafecard. Please always quote this number when you write to our customer service.
You can use the 16-digit PIN code to pay online or view your remaining balance.
I ordered the wrong paysafecard. Can I request a refund?
Yes, with us you can return the purchased product within 14 days and get your money back. The only condition is that the credit is still completely unused. It is not possible to return only €5 if you originally purchased €10.
Current fraud warning: customs duties, Microsoft or PayPal employees, classified ads
Have you received an email in which you are supposed to pay customs duties for your parcel? Or a seller asks you to pay for a product with a Paysafecard. You have received a call from a supposed Microsoft employee! Caution! These cases are fraudulent: Criminals often pretend to be fake people or trusted organizations. Unfortunately, we cannot help you if they have already passed on your code. The Paysafecard is to be treated like cash and cannot be refunded after use.
